On August 21, Bts released their single, Dynamite. Dynamite is the group’s first all-English track. This song’s purpose was to give their fans a positive outlet during this deadly pandemic.
BTS is a seven-member group from South Korea: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Even though English is not their first language, they manage to take over the Western Market thanks to their fans called ARMY. Over the past three years, BTS has broken countless records, won many international awards, and made history on multiple occasions.
BTS was the first kpop act wins top social artist breaking Justin Beiber record of six years and the first to win full group/duo at the Billboard Music Awards. They also were the first KPop act to perform on the BBMA, AMA, and even the Grammys. And on August 30, they will be the first KPOP act to perform at the VMAs to perform Dynamite for the first time.
Dynamite broke Youtube’s 24 hours record debut receiving 101.1 million views, breaking their fellow kpop act Blackpink record for their music video, “How do you like that” which received 84.6 million views.
Bts has also made history by holding a sold-out stadium world tour called Love yourself, Speak yourself. They traveled worldwide and performed at famous stadiums such as Wembley, the Rose Bowl, King Fahd International Stadium, and Seoul Olympic Stadium.
However, due to this pandemic, the group had to postpone their world tour, Map of the Soul. However, in October, they plan to hold an online concert from South Korea to share with their fans worldwide.
