Five DIY Facial Masks To Make You Confident

For many, having bright and glowy skin is very crucial for self-confidence. Getting rid of acne and blackheads is no easy task, and some of us do not have the luxury of buying products. Using ingredients that you probably already have at home is the way to go. Provided are some of the easiest and best DIY face masks for getting rid of acne, blackheads, and dead skin, but remember to first rinse your face with warm water before applying the mask.

Turmeric, Honey, and Dairy Face Mask

-1 tsp turmeric
-1 tsp honey
-1 tsp milk/plain yogurt

Personally, this is my favorite DIY mask because it has produced excellent results for me. Honey has been known to contain antibacterial and antiseptic properties that help get rid of acne and blemishes, and turmeric contains curcumin, which is skin-lightening and soothes skin irritations. And as for milk/ plain yogurt, its properties help hydrate the skin and lighten it due to lactic acid.
*Note that turmeric may stain your skin yellow, but this can easily be fixed by using a wet rag.

Olive Oil and Egg White Mask

-1 egg white
-1 Tbs olive oil

Olive oil is considered the best anti-aging natural ingredient due to its fatty acids, minerals, and vitamins. The antioxidants in olive oil keep your skin young and give it an undeniably glowy look. Along with this, egg whites tighten your skin, reducing wrinkles, and extracts oil and whiteheads.

Coconut Oil, Ground Coffee, and Lemon Mask

-1 Tbs coconut oil
-1 Tbs ground coffee
-5 drops of lemon

Out of all the ingredients for DIY face masks, I never knew that coffee could do wonders for my skin! I have been doing this face mask for some time now and I definitely recommend you try it if you have dry skin. Coffee is packed with antioxidants, which reduces skin aging and keeps the skin nice and moisturized along with coconut oil. Lemon on the other hand is for oily skin and it helps tame the bacteria on your face that lead to inflammatory acne.

Banana Pimple Fighting Face Mask

-1 small ripe banana
-½ tsp baking soda
-½ tsp powdered tumeric

The benefits of turmeric have already been stated, but we have yet to touch on baking soda and bananas. Baking soda is excellent for exfoliating the skin and getting rid of all the dead skin cells and is also great for cleaning inflamed skin due to its antibacterial properties. Not only this, but baking soda also brightens up dull skin because it balances the pH levels. And finally, bananas have many benefits for your skin, including oil control, lightening the skin, treating acne, and moisturizing the skin. This is because bananas are full of potassium, vitamins, and amino acid, which all give your face a big helping hand.

Aloe Vera Mask

-1 small slice of aloe vera plant

I’m sure we all know that aloe vera is fantastic for soothing sunburned skin, but what you probably didn’t know is that aloe vera can also clear up acne. Aloe vera has antimicrobial properties that help acne-prone skin that helps prevent breakouts of blackheads and whiteheads. I recommend you apply this to your skin in the morning and evening to help keep your skin hydrated. You can even slab some on your face before using another face mask.

I hope these easy to do face masks come in handy for you; they have been my best friend in having glowy and acne free skin. Enjoy.
